Anger is a natural basic human emotion that is often used to express negative feelings. We believe that anger is a secondary emotion, usually a reaction to underlying emotions such as frustration, hurt, loss, or disrespect. Road rage, violent behavior, verbal abuse, aggression, intimidation, and lack of empathy, are examples of issues that benefit from anger management. The goal is to teach people to identify, understand and defuse their own anger by learning healthy expressions of anger that are acceptable to society, so that violence and self-destructive behavior can be avoided.
Coaching is my passion. Coaching is a meaningful and rewarding way to support yourself in breaking through obstacles to do the things you want or need to do. My approach is to be a guide, working with you to identify thoughts and behaviors which are healthy and unhealthy for daily living. I guide people who are suffering from daily hardships, stress, anxiety, lack of direction or goals in life, addictions, relationship issues, and simply life in general.
Together, we take a look at your satisfaction with all areas of your life. I will help you with prioritizing what areas you want to focus on, and we design small steps forward. I will support you and help you hold yourself accountable as you move in the direction of a healthy life.

Are you in need of mental health treatment with a clinician who works with children, adolescents, and adults? I'm so glad that you took the step to find a therapist to help you in your struggles! Life can be hectic and overwhelming and when you're struggling with issues such as depression, anxiety, separation/divorce, issues with your children, issues with being a teenager, etc., the overwhelming feelings can get to be too much. I'm here to let you know that there is help in dealing with these struggles and you don't have to continue to carry these issues alone.
I offer services for adults as well as children and teens. I engage clients in individual, family, and/or group therapy to help them overcome the obstacles that have been holding them back.
Together we can work through life challenges, whether it involves current issues
that interfere with daily life or past events that keep coming up. My goal is to open your mind, expand your thoughts on what is possible, to offer you a vision for your future, to enhance your current skills to create healthier ones
This is YOUR journey... a journey where YOU get to decide how to design your own day, your own week, your own life. Life doesn't need to be a constant struggle.
I have extensive experience working individually with adults, dealing with trauma, physical/sexual abuse, domestic violence, anxiety and depression, and adjustment issues.

My work begins with taking the time to understand each, unique individual. This collaborative, compassionate yet thought provoking process is called "the talking cure," and it can be life changing. I am a curious listener, and through our weekly conversations you will learn to reflect on what you are experiencing differently - this is why psychotherapy works. I am always sure to provide a safe and respectful environment in order to change maladaptive patterns of thinking, behaving or feeling that stem from past experiences and underlie presenting symptoms, while working on practical solutions to immediate problems.
Anxiety, depression or panic attacks signal the need for mental health services; analytic methods get at the underlying issues to resolve the symptoms. Dreams provide images for whatever we are struggling with; giving dreams our attention is a therapeutic process in itself.
My goal is to create at least one place in this world where you can be uncensored and unfiltered! Say it how you feel it without fear of judgement.

You are not broken. You may be experiencing emotional injury, and/or psychological distress, but this does not communicate brokenness. On the contrary, this communicates an emotional BUILD. You might be struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, women's issues, trauma, grief, loss, low self-esteem, low self-worth, etc. It may even be likely that you have learned how to live in a way that attempts to guard you from any additional emotional injuries. Essentially, your life experiential may have taught you how to build a wall of emotional defense, but that is not your truest self.
That very wall that you have built to protect your true self, may be the obstacle that is keeping you from experiencing the fullness of life. Let's work together to reclaim your strength and reopen access to your internal resources like that of Trust, Freedom, Tolerance, and Truth.
I believe that most individuals possess the innate capacity to heal themselves, but may lack insight due to emotional or psychological distress. I encourage my clients to be in consciousness with the self; ultimately, aiding their ability to access a more balanced, peaceful, and productive life.

"Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while you could miss it"- This is one of my favorite quotes from the movie Ferris Bueller's Day off because it is so true. Things happen to us throughout our lifetime that make us feel stuck, worthless, guilty, shamed, and like we are never enough. These ideas about ourselves dictate the way we learn, how we do in school and work, and how we love and connect to others. When someone has experienced trauma, these thoughts and feelings can be even more extreme which can cause significant distress. My goal is to teach you healthy coping skills that you can use throughout life.

Even when we have tremendous anxiety and pain, the strength and resilience we desire already reside within. During times of stress, grief or uncertainty, it is common to forget this and to adopt maladaptive styles of coping and communicating that tend to deepen our distress. Sometimes we fall back into negative thinking based on faulty core beliefs about ourselves and the world. I will bear witness to your struggles with empathy and non-judgment. You will be seen, you will be heard, and you will be supported in your growth while you are taught healthy coping skills.
